Read Receipts

Read receipts let you know when someone has opened and read your message. A small checkmark or avatar appears next to the message once it has been seen.

Steps

  1. Look for a small checkmark or avatar beneath your sent message.
  2. To turn read receipts off, go to Settings > Messaging > Read Receipts.
Tip: Turning off read receipts also hides when you have read other people's messages.
