Mute a Conversation

Muting silences notifications from a conversation without leaving it or alerting other participants. You can still read and send messages - you just will not get push notifications.

Steps

  1. Swipe left on the conversation in your Messages list.
  2. Tap Mute and choose a duration: 1 hour, 8 hours, 1 day, or Forever.
Tip: A muted conversation shows a bell icon with a slash next to it in your message list.
