Why You Can't Delete Your Account Yet

Most accounts can be deleted straight away. A couple of things can hold it up so other people are not left stranded. The most common is an upcoming dinner you are hosting, and an active Premium subscription is worth cancelling first so you are not billed again.

Steps

  1. If you are hosting an upcoming dinner, cancel it or let the seat pass so the group is not left without a host.
  2. If you have Premium, cancel the subscription through the App Store or Google Play so it does not renew.
  3. Try deleting your account again once these are cleared.
Tip: Cancelling Premium in the store stops future billing. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
